1. What information do we collect?

a) Personal information such as name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, date of birth (where appropriate), bank details, etc. We collect this information only in connection with specific activities, such as feedback, surveys, email newsletter subscriptions, etc. You don't have to disclose any of this information if you do not wish to.

b) Non-personal information
ENI collects data such as IP address (the location of the computer on the internet), pages accessed and files downloaded. This helps us to determine how many individuals use our site, how many people visit on a regular basis, which pages are most popular, and which pages are least popular. This information doesn't tell us anything about who you are or where you live; it simply allows us to monitor and improve our service.

ENI online services - Security, Payment and Refund information

1. What does ENI do with the information collected?
2.
What is WorldPay?
3.
How do I know that my credit card details are safe?
4.
Will I receive a receipt for a payment made to ENI through this Web site?
5.
What is your refund policy?

1. What does ENI do with the information collected?

When making a payment by credit card, we need your contact information so that the card can be processed, and we ask for your email address so that we can send you confirmation that it was processed successfully, and for your telephone and/or fax numbers in case we need to contact you about your payment. If you are taking out a paid subscription to one of our products we need your name, address, organization (where appropriate) and email address (if receiving a paid email service), so that we can administer your account and send you the services you have paid for. Providing any other personal information is optional.

Your credit card information provided as part of our on-line payment services is held by WorldPay, a secure payment processing company, solely for the purpose of processing the payments. This information is not held by the ENI at any time.

After you have made the payment we may send you updates about our work. We always provide our full contact details on correspondence so that you can easily get in touch.

2. What is WorldPay?

ENI uses the WorldPay secure payment processing system to handle our online donations and payments because we believe it gives our customers and supporters the best security. The WorldPay Web site is at http://www.worldpay.com/.

3. How do I know that my credit card details are safe?

WorldPay uses the same 128-bit SSL encryption technology as most banks and also uses WorldPay's own unique encryption systems. When you fill in the payment form and click the submit button, your details are not sent straight away. What actually happens is that a secure link is set up between your browser and WorldPay and an encryption code is requested and received. This then protects the information and transaction details before leaving the ENI payment page for processing by WorldPay.

4. Will I receive a receipt for a payment made to ENI through this Web site?

Yes. Once WorldPay has accepted your credit card, a receipt is sent to you by email (so please be sure to enter your email address accurately).

5. What is your refund policy?

Subscriptions to the ENI Daily News Service (by electronic mail) and for the ENI Bulletin (by post) are for a one year period, and will be renewed automatically unless cancelled before the end of the subscription period. You may, however, cancel a subscription made on this Web site within seven days of making the order by sending an email to sgb@eni.ch quoting the purchase transaction ID you will have received in the email receipt from WorldPay, or if you do not have this to hand, quoting the date of payment and the name of the person who made the payment. All refunds will be credited to the payment card used to make the order.
